Christian is actually just a few days shy of 10 months, but Cheri insisted
on labeling this as 9 months. It probably has something to do with a
memorial for how long this guy cooked in her tummy.
He sure is getting to be loads of fun (and danger!). We have to ever
be on the watch out for toilet paper being unrolled or lamp stands being
pulled over.
He still loves playing (banging) the piano, but doesn't quite have the
concept of heights down yet, and a couple of times has crawled past Dad's feet
that were keeping him from going off the edge of the piano bench.
Gratefully none of his tumbles have been that bad.
Today Dad caught him just an inch before he hit the floor after having a
heyday crawling around naked on the bed after his bath.
Another of his tricks is to stand himself up next to the headboard and then
fall backward onto the bed, then to do the same thing all over again -- of
course with an audience present.
We're getting a regular ritual going when its diaper changing time.
First, after the pants are off and before the diaper goes, Dad gives him a
xzubert (raspberry?) on his belly. Then after the diaper is off, he
turns over quick as a flash and starts going for something he isn't supposed
to have. But usually Dad can dump the diaper in the pail and get back to
him before he does any damage to whatever it is or to himself. He gets
turned back over and has to be convinced several times that putting the diaper
on is much easier if he lays flat.
