Three Months Old

A Few Words

That's right. Christian is three months old today. My, how time flies.

Cheri and I went to get some pictures taken of him yesterday.

Cheri would have me tell you that she was not planning on having our pictures taken with him as well. I thought she looked great, but I guess women have this thing about make-up, hair, and clothes that match for such occasions.

What a joy Christian has been. He is starting to smile at us a lot -- especially in the mornings. And he is learning how to use his voice for something other than crying. Just this past week he has begun to explore the world of talking, though his version is far more cute than anything I've ever heard come from an adult.

He also loves to have Cheri read to him. He will sit/lay fascinated through two or three books at a time, gazing at the colorful pictures and enjoying his mother's voice.

For the past three weeks or so he has begun to stand up, with Dad or Mom holding his wobbly body. Sometimes he will stand for ten minutes at a time.

I get the feeling he is in a hurry to grow up so he can get to the exciting stuff he was born to accomplish. Meanwhile Cheri and I are having a wonderful time doting on him as our child. Our prayer is that we can be good parents for him.
