Christian says "Cheese."

Aubrie, Christian, Emily, practicing for April Fool's day.
Aubrie is doing sign language for, "I don't see one of my siblings
here."

We don't have a name for this one yet.
We estimate the first birthday party to be some time around Nov. 23, 2005.

Completely filled one 26-foot U-Haul plus three van loads.
Where did all this junk come from?

New Digs
Life is never boring with the Allans. In the adult portion of our home,
most of our adventuring is in the mind, as we expand our understanding of the
world and the way things tick on this planet.
As you can see from the above photos, Cheri has her hands (and belly) full of
child-rearing challenges. She is great to bone up on home schooling
curriculum and approaches. This will be our first year in earnest for
Christian, who is approaching "kindergarten" age. But home
schooling begins in the womb when Cheri is the mom, reading to the kid, etc.
At 1½, 3½, and 5½ years of age, the children are plenty busy with the adventures of imagination, facilitated by card board boxes, blankets, chairs. Those get more wear than most of the toys that clutter our basement.
I'm heavily involved in the world of alternative energy coverage, having
built a reputation over the past few years as having perhaps the best repository
for cutting edge daily news regarding
all things that move us closer to more clean, renewable, reliable, affordable
energy solutions. Our directory and open source projects are also
receiving a lot of attention and appreciation.
The
thing that has me most exited right now is preparations for a merger with Open
Source Energy Network, which will really up the quality of our offerings. Click
here (1.1 Mb wmv) for a sample introduction video directed to inventors.
I enjoy working from home, being around to see each little milestone of my
children as they grow, and to help around the house to help relieve the load for
Cheri.
In misc. news, Christian is starting into soccer. In his first game and
experience with the sport Saturday, he came over to the sideline and asked Cheri
if he could use one of the other balls because he just can't seem to get to the
ball that they are kicking around on the field.
Cheri is a volunteer doing crafts for the weekly library story hour. She
is also involved in a literary club. This month they read and will be
discussing Mark Twain's Joan
of Arc documentary book, which he considered his best work.
Cheri put me onto a book that I've been thoroughly been enjoying: Mary,
Called Magdalene, a historic fiction by Margaret George, and a New York
Times bestseller. Cheri is always reading at least one great book, going
through them by the dozen.
We are grateful to the many people in our life who have supported our efforts to
help us move forward in our goals and the development of our talents to help the
world be a better place in which to live.
